Tell us about your career.
I’m in the dream fulfilment business…and business is good!
When was your first cx race and what was it like?
Greenway Farms 3 years ago. It was the fun, yo. I was hooked.
It’s race day – what do you do to get ready?
Drive for hours and then complain about the cold and rain.
What are the first 2 things you feel like you do well during a race?
Holeshot & tempo sections.
Give us your best “fred” moment (or just share your most embarrassing race moment).
Burying my front wheel in the muddy ditch at Old Grey Barn, endoing, and seperating my shoulder was pretty up there!
What’s the first thing you do after you cross the finish line?
Wonder if I’ll puke or pass out first.
What are 2 things you’d like to improve upon this season?
Technical handling and quicker remounts.
What’s your favorite color on the PFM unicorn horn?
Where’s your favorite place to ride in Chattanooga?
Outside. Seriously, the sweeping left-hand turn on Montlake just before you descend where you are looking over the North Chick is pretty solid.
What do you do when you’re not riding your bike or working?
Run, back pack, open-water kayak, read, play games
Who’s your favorite Privateer to heckle and why?
Farmer. He may be wearing an American Dude costume & rocking a mullet – that’s noteworthy.
What would you sing at karaoke night?
Something by Cartman.
If you had to be an animal, which one would you be and why?
Unicorn. It’s a magnificant beast. Why would you not want to be one?
